Coming soon will be some fabulous photographs from our Italian adventure. We will be taking in Lake Garda, Milan, Verona and Venice on our travels, to celebrate our first wedding anniversary this September. Watch this space late September/early October for some amazing photos.
We were priviledged to attend Eastbourne’s International Open 2009. This year both women and men were competing, a mixture that Devonshire Park hadn’t seen for several years (certainly not in my lifetime at the event). There was spectulation that the tournament would not be the same; that having the split would ruin the whole event. Nonetheless, we headed to the Sunshine coast for our annual trip with our gear. I’m pleased to announce that the tennis was as good as ever, if not better (perhaps John would disagree, although he stated that it was run as if it was two different tournaments) and I only experience one slight technical hitch throughout the eight days. Well, as promised, we went to Kew Gardens on Saturday. And what a lovely day it was as well.
Bright and sunny, great for photography, and warm as well. It was apparently 63F (17c) At Kew on Saturday. Spring has definitely sprung!
We arrived around 10.15 and made our way to the cafe first to have a hot drink and some lovely lemon drizzle cake! Continue Reading »

Every year, around the end of February or beginning of March, we go along to Kew Gardens to take photos at the annual Orchid Festival.
This year however it isn’t being held due to a Henry Moore exhibition.
Having said that they are having a year long display of orchids in the Princess of Wales conservatory. I’m sure we will go along to see them and at the same time it will just about be the right time to see all the snowdrops coming out, along with other spring bulbs.
We will of course be taking loads of photos and I’m sure some of them will find their way on to our website. The link to our site is on the right of the page.
If any of you happen to be in the London area it might be worth having a look at Kew Gardens. As well as long walks there is plenty of wildlife, nice views, the River Thames and places to eat and drink as well as well stocked shops full of good things to do with Kew and plants in general.
Allow yourself plenty of time though as it can take a good few hours to walk around there.
